Head coach and athletic director Hal Wynn is the “father of Faulkner softball,” having started the program a quarter century ago. In all but four seasons, the Lady Eagles have won at least 25 games. Eight times Faulkner has won at least 30 games. Before the NAIA changed its post-season format, Wynn’s teams earned regional bids 12 out of 13 years. For his long-time commitment to the university and to the softball program, Faulkner has honored the head coach by renaming the softball facility Wynn Field. Considered one of the top pitching instructors in the state, Wynn insists on excellence both on and off the field, with his program having received numerous accolades for its academic achievements.

“The Faulkner softball program provides not only great facilities but challenges and opportunities to grow as a student-athlete and a person. Much is expected from our student-athletes on the field, but also in the classroom and outside the softball field. If you are looking for a program that demands a lot from you and gives back much, then this could be the place for you.” - Head Coach & Athletic Director, Hal Wynn
